Saw X Release Date Moved Forward As First Image Shows A Familiar Face

In the wake of potential film delays caused by the ongoing SAG-AFTRA strike, horror film fans can breathe easier with news that Lionsgate’s Saw X remains unaffected. The highly-anticipated sequel is now set to hit theaters earlier than expected, with the release date moved up from October 27 to September 29.

Loyal franchise followers who mourned the apparent end of Tobin Bell’s John Kramer/Jigsaw can similarly breathe even easier knowing that as previously reported, Bell is returning in Saw X. Despite his character’s demise and notable absence in 2021’s Spiral, death cannot hold him back. Below, check out a first-look image shared by Lionsgate, showing Bell in character–accompanied by a ghastly mustache.

An official synopsis reads: “John Kramer (Tobin Bell) is back. The most disturbing installment of the Saw franchise yet explores the untold chapter of Jigsaw’s most personal game. Set between the events of Saw I and II, a sick and desperate John travels to Mexico for a risky and experimental medical procedure in hopes of a miracle cure for his cancer – only to discover the entire operation is a scam to defraud the most vulnerable. Armed with a newfound purpose, the infamous serial killer returns to his work, turning the tables on the con artists in his signature visceral way through devious, deranged, and ingenious traps.”

Kevin Greutert directed a screenplay by Peter Goldfinger and Josh Stolberg. Mark Burg and Oren Koules are producing.

The September release date strategically places Saw X ahead of other major horror films slated for the fall season. While New Line’s The Nun 2 is set to open after Labor Day, Saw X will hit theaters before other Exorcist: The Believer (October 13) and Five Nights at Freddy’s (October 27).Come from Sports betting site

To date, the Saw franchise has grossed $1 billion globally.
